      基于基本科学指标(ESI)数据库,分析了2019–2023年中国(本文未统计港澳台地区)作者发表的以及中国所属的Web of Science(WOS)核心合集期刊出版的国际合作论文数量,及两者在22个ESI学科的分布,旨在调查我国国际合作论文规模与地域结构的变化趋势。研究发现:5年间中美科研合作论文的占比有所下降,而中国与其他国家和地区的整体科研合作水平并未显著提升,反映出我国科研产出格局的独立性在增强,但未充分挖掘我国和除美国以外的其他国家和地区的国际科研合作需求。建议中国WOS期刊应立足于全球产业链,积极捕捉近年来国际科研合作的新形势; 并扎根于各学科的国际科研合作基础,通过加大国际合作论文的出版占比,以我国科研创新内循环带动国际科研发展外循环。特别是对金色开放获取(OA)期刊来说,积极融入全球视野下的“刊产学研”创新产业链可以提升金色OA期刊的国际学术影响力和经济收益,有助于构建开放共享的学术交流平台。

      Based on the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) database, this study analyzes the quantity of international collaborative papers authored by Chinese (this study excludes Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) researchers and published in Web of Science (WOS) core collection journals from China during 2019–2023, as well as their distribution across 22 ESI disciplines. The aim is to investigate the trends in the evolution of the scale and geographical landscape of international collaborative papers from China. The findings reveal a decline in the proportion of Sino-American scientific research collaboration papers over the five years, while the overall level of scientific research cooperation between China and other countries and regions has not significantly improved. This reflects an increasing independence in China’s research output pattern but indicates an insufficient exploration of international research cooperation needs with countries and regions outside the United States. It is recommended that WOS journals from China should gain footholds in the global industrial chains, keenly understand and adapt to the changing dynamics of international scientific research cooperation in recent years, and root their efforts on the basis of international scientific research cooperation across various disciplines. By increasing the publication share of international collaborative papers, they can drive the external cycle of international scientific development with the internal cycle of China's scientific and technological innovation. Particularly for gold open access (OA) journals, actively integrating into the “publishing-industry-academia-research” innovation chain from a global perspective can enhance their international academic influence and economic returns, contributing to the establishment of an open and inclusive academic exchange platform.
