| By consulting the official websites of international publishers and its journals, and searching relevant articles from CNKI and WoS databases, using data research method, comparative analysis method and induction method, the graphical abstract requirements of 29 typical international publishers were collected and sorted out. This paper compares the graphical abstract requirements of 15 selected publishers from four aspects: form requirements, process requirements, content requirements and other requirements, and then gives suggestions for journals and authors of China to use GA. It can be found that the graphical abstract requirements of each publisher are different in terms of expression mode, content involved, detailed degree of specification and other aspects, but each publisher basically requires graphic abstract to be concise, prominent content, in line with the overall style of the journal. Graphical abstract has been widely used by international publishing organizations, and the requirements are mature. China can use graphical abstract for reference, promote its application in S&T journals, and thus try to establish our own standards of graphical abstract. |
