| To optimize the article type system of sci-tech journals and enhance their international communication capacity and publication quality, this study takes the English leading journals of the Excellent Action Plan and international benchmark journals in the same field as research objects. Based on data from Scopus, Web of Science, and official journal websites, we explore the configuration characteristics of article types and their correlation with academic influence and communication effectiveness. The results show that the article types of China’s leading journals are generally consistent with the mainstream framework of international benchmark journals, and they have formed a four-dimensional configuration logic comprising four categories: core, overview, correspondence, and integrity. However, issues such as inadequate adaptability of publishing platforms and weak academic communication capacity still exist. Based on these findings, suggestions are proposed from three dimensions: optimizing article structure layout, enhancing platform communication visibility, and strengthening professional talent cultivation. This study provides empirical support and practical reference for upgrading China's sci-tech journal article type systems and advancing the construction of world-class sci-tech journals. |
