| Basing on the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery Am., the reviewer guidelines of peer review in overseas medical periodicals are discussed. There are two most important characters. One is a principle for content review including overall comments and specific comments. The other one is a two-tier review system consisting of content review and methodological review. A well-organized, detailed reviewer guideline will provide criteria for evaluating manuscripts, instructions for modifying manuscripts. |
