| First, this paper analyzes all possible delays occurring in the process of a paper from its submission to its publication, and statistically explains the negative effects that DPA (delay for publication of articles) exerts on journals. Second, it introduces the functions of AOP (advance online publication) in shortening DPA, as well as its significance. AOP is expected to increase JIF (journal impact factor) by 15%. Last but not the least, it brings forward some further research points of AOP. |
