| 以《中国电机工程学报》编辑部为例,说明编校或编校排是否合一应视具体情况而定。对于专业性较强的科技学术期刊,由于稿件中图表及公式较多,在编辑的专业知识及计算机使用水平较高的情况下,宜采用编校合一,而排版则应专设录入员。在编辑与录入员之间进行合理的分工,即编辑负责文字的修改,录入员负责录入图、表、公式及版面调整可提高双方的工作效率,并做到办公少纸化。 |

| Taking the editorial board of Proceedings of the CSEE as an example, we propose that whether editors should do both editing and proofreading, or even do editing, proofreading and typesetting depends on the actual situation. Given that there are many graphs, tables and equations in the manuscripts of some highly professional periodicals, it is suitable for the editors to do both editing and proofreading if they master enough professional knowledge and computer skills, while some stuff members are appointed to do typesetting work. A rational division of labor between editors and typesetters, i.e., the editors are responsible for the word processing while the typesetters for the graphs, tables, equations and page layout, can improve efficiency of both editors and typesetters, and make them handle manuscripts with less paper. |
