| Based on the practice of renaming of Edible and Medicinal Mushrooms, it is suggested that renaming of a scientific journal in an attempt to break the bottleneck caused by the inappropriate journal name should be made only after a full evaluation of both positive and negative effects that will be brought on. An appropriate time for renaming, a new better journal name decided carefully and accompanying propagation should be all taken into account to ensure an expected success of renaming, making the journal keep abreast of the times and be more influential in future development. |
