| This paper introduces a series of new measures taken by Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United State of America (PNAS) in recent years, such as eliminating "Track I" communicated submissions, establishing "prearranged editor" submissions, adding "feature articles" and "PNAS Plus", setting up "Cozzarelli prize" and "podcast". Based on citation analysis of different type publications in PNAS, we deduce that submission innovations and promotion strategies may be more conducive to attracting high-quality papers, and thus in favor of promoting the development of PNAS. |
