| This paper lists the inconsistencies related to statistical tables in medical papers between table title and column heading, between the sum of the numbers and the total,between footnote and table, between abstract and table, between table and the content described in “statistical analysis”, and between discussion and table. The reasons are analyzed and some suggestions given on how to avoid these problems.
