| This paper aims to discuss the advantages of academic journals operating authenticated WeChat service accounts and draw the attention of academic journals to the application of authenticated WeChat service accounts. By analyzing the needs on specific application, it points out the brand advantage, price performance advantage as well as security advantage of academic journals operating the authenticated WeChat service accounts. The brand advantage lies in the authentication of periodical brands and the increase of brand reach. The price performance advantage rests with user group for accurate services, customer service interface for human customer service experience, construction and maintenance of public platforms for low-cost and cost-effective operation, and payment interface for the security and convenience of both users and operators. The security advantage is to authenticate and protect the rights and interests of all parties, and to authorize and provide safer information services. As the course of academic journals operating public platform unfolds, authenticated service accounts will become dominant options for the operation of academic journals. |
