| Frequent incidences of withdrawal of submissions reflect that there are deficiencies in paper review of academic journals. Taking the use of ScholarOne Manuscript, an online submission/review system, for example, the authors summarize and analyze four ways to strengthen peer review effectiveness, such as checking authenticity of manuscripts, distinguishing and choosing appropriate reviewers, guiding reviewers to an effective evaluation, and committing reviewers’ comments conscientiously, for preventing academic misconduct. |
