| Based on investigating and analyzing the Keywords of the four subject areas of agronomy, plant protection, crops and horticulture in the agricultural science and technology category in the full-text database of Chinese academic journals, we found that there are more generalized Keywords in the first 40 Keywords of these four disciplines, mainly including the extraction of Keywords from the title of the paper but missing the subject matter, the order of keyword indexing and the confusion of logical relations. In order to eliminate generalized Keywords, it is necessary to revise or formulate operationally strong scientific papers keyword selection standards and specifications in a timely manner. Authors and journal editors must have a correct understanding of the importance of scientific paper Keywords, and attach great importance to the indexing of paper Keywords. The editorial department of scientific journals should combine the characteristics of the journals of their own journals and put forward the operability norms and requirements for the indexing of Keywords in editing process. |
