| Publishing special issues has become an important way for scientific journals to improve their academic quality and impact. Organizing different types of special issues can open up new channels to invite high-quality articles and enrich the form and content of journals. Here, we introduce the practice of publishing special issues in Hereditas (Beijing),summarize the special issue types and organization modes, and analyze the key elements and potential problems during the organization of special issues. We hope to provide reference for editors of Chinese scientific journals. |
