| As one of the fastest-growing new media, Toutiao account shows many characteristics, including simple registration procedure, abundant genre, intelligent recommendation algorithm and diversified liquidity, which can promote the influence of scientific journals. By means of web searching on today’s headlines, the application status of Toutiao accounts in source journals of Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD) in 2019-2020 was studied. Our results show that there are 26 kinds of journals opened the Toutiao accounts, the opening rate is 2.1%. We also put forward suggestions on the use of Toutiao in journal operation. |
