The logical contradiction existing in scientific papers cannot be ignored in the process of editing and proofreading. In this paper, the manuscripts that enter the editing and proofreading process after acceptation are taken as the research object, starting with the necessity and feasibility of logical proofreading of scientific papers, and combining with the author's experience and examples, the common logical problems in scientific papers are summarized into four categories: logical contradictions in words, logical contradictions in mathematics, logical problems in diagrams and comprehensive problems. And the possible causes of logical problems are sorted out, including lack of writing experience, rigid understanding of basic formulas, failure to consider both before and after revision, and low willingness to revise. On this basis, according to the complexity of logical problems, this paper gives the treatment methods and matters needing attention, with a view to making some useful explorations for improving the editing and proofreading quality of scientific journals. |
