| Research integrity is the foundation of scientific innovation, and research misconduct severely undermines the cornerstone of scientific research. In recent years, with the rapid increase in research outputs and the growing complexity of the research environment, academic misconduct has become increasingly frequent, posing significant challenges to the reliability and fairness of medical research. This article provides a detailed summary of common academic misconduct practices encountered by medical journals during the manuscript reviewing and editing phases, including inaccurate information, improper modification of funding projects, inappropriate authorship, and image manipulation. It also proposes corresponding preventive measures, aiming to offer effective guidance and references for editors and reviewers of medical journals, thereby promoting the construction of research integrity. |
