| Promoting the spirit of scientists is one of the important missions of scientific and technological journals. Since 2023, in order to adapt to the discourse system of youth and explore the pathways for disseminating the spirit of scientists, the Journal of Desert and Oasis Meteorology has engaged in practical explorations of telling scientific stories, achieving several valuable experiences: (a) establishing special columns to promote the spirit of scientists; (b) carefully planning from a youth perspective; (c) conducting interviews with renowned older scientists and young research pioneers of the new era, recommending youth role models; (d) integrating vibrant multimedia formats for visual presentation and dissemination through short video platforms; (e) combining scientific frontiers with individuals, articulating the responsibilities and commitments of scientists in the face of new challenges; (f) leveraging the popular science advantages of the society, collaborating with schools and research institutions to bring the content about the spirit of scientists in the journal into classrooms. By utilizing the journal"s brand and resource advantages, and strengthening the dissemination of scientific stories through the journal’s platform, website, public account, and video account, it helps to establish scientific role models and inspire more young people to strive for a strong technological nation. |
