| 专栏策划是科技期刊在日常工作中经常使用的组稿方式,但是存在时效性不足、主编/编委负责制执行困难、部分文章质量把控不足等问题。《环境昆虫学报》开创“5+3+1小专栏”组稿模式,3位专家负责、限定5篇文章且其中1篇必须是综述文章。本文介绍了小专栏的推出契机及模式,在创新组织管理形式、精准把控时间节点、提升审稿维度质量、构建多层次宣传体系等4个方面详述了小专栏的实践；并从专业方向更聚焦、增进信任“朋友圈”更大、文章质量更有保障、流程运转更高效、更有利于学术传播与大众科普。5个方面总结了小专栏的成效。同时,对应提出了挤占正常版面、自由来稿刊发周期延滞、选题方向局部受限3个方面的问题以及解决方案。 |

| Column planning is a widely adopted manuscript solicitation approach in sci-tech journals; however, it is plagued by problems such as inadequate timeliness, challenges in enforcing the editor-in-chief/editorial board responsibility system, and subpar quality control for certain articles. The Journal of Environmental Entomology has taken the lead in introducing the “5+3+1 small column” model, which encompasses 5 articles reviewed by 3 experts, with a mandatory inclusion of one review article. This paper elucidates the rationale and model underlying its implementation, providing an in-depth account of the mini-special column’s practices across four dimensions:innovating organizational management structures, precisely managing time milestones, elevating the caliber of manuscript reviews, and establishing a multi-tiered promotion system. It also summarizes the mini-special column’s outcomes in five key areas:a more focused emphasis on specialized fields, an expanded “circle of trust” fostered by enhanced collaboration, greater assurance of article quality, streamlined and efficient workflow procedures, and improved academic dissemination and public engagement. Moreover, the paper identifies three challenges:the encroachment on regular publication slots, extended publication cycles for unsolicited manuscripts, and constraints in topic selection. Correspondingly, appropriate solutions are proposed to tackle these issues. |
