| The efficient operation and management are crucial for building high-level scientific journal clusters. Taking the English-language journal cluster of China Laser Press as an example, this article systematically reviews the practices and development outcomes of managing its eight English-language journals from the perspectives of journal cluster layout, resource collaboration, brand building, platform support, and talent cultivation. Chinese Laser Press emphasizes the continuous accumulation of publishing experience and capabilities. By establishing a well-structured journal portfolio, creating innovative mechanisms for resource sharing and collaboration, exploring diversified digital dissemination pathways, and cultivating a professional editorial team, it has achieved high-quality operation and sustainable development of its journal cluster while continuously launching new journals. On this basis, the article further analyzes the challenges faced in the current operation and management of journal clusters, including cluster scale, collaborative operation, and division in publishing process. The article aims to provide insights and references for small and medium-sized journal clusters in China, contributing to the development of globally competitive journal clusters. |
