      随着国际形势不断变化,高质量英文科技期刊对提升国家科技竞争力和国际学术话语权具有重要战略意义。针对我国自主建设英文科技期刊在质量控制、品牌建设、国际传播以及数字平台化能力等方面面临的挑战,本文综合采用文献调研、案例分析、专家访谈与走访调研等多源证据方法,构建了涵盖“学术影响力—品牌化—国际化—集群化—数字化—人才体系”六个维度的高质量发展路径框架。在此基础上,本文以自主创办的英文科技期刊Light: Advanced Manufacturing (LAM)作为典型案例,对六维路径框架进行逐项实践验证。研究表明,明确办刊定位与质量标准、强化高水平同行评议、树立品牌形象、拓展国际合作网络、依托刊群增强集群化效应、提升数字平台化水平及打造专业化办刊团队,是推动我国英文科技期刊实现高质量发展的有效途径。本文提出的六维路径框架与LAM案例的验证结果为我国自主建设英文科技期刊的高质量发展分别提供了理论支撑和实践参考。

      Abstract With the ongoing evolution of the global academic communication landscape, high-quality English-language scientific and Technological journals play an increasingly important role in enhancing the international visibility of China’s research outputs and supporting academic exchange. Addressing the challenges faced by China’s independently founded English-language journals—particularly in quality control, brand building, international visibility, and digital platform capabilities—this study employs a multi-source evidence approach integrating literature review, case analysis, expert interviews, and field investigations. Based on this, a six-dimensional framework for high-quality journal development is constructed, encompassing academic influence, branding, internationalization, clustering, digitalization, and editorial talent systems. Taking the independently founded journal Light: Advanced Manufacturing (LAM) as a representative case, the study further conducts dimension-by-dimension empirical validation of the proposed framework. The findings show that clarifying journal positioning and quality standards, strengthening high-level peer review, establishing a recognizable brand identity, expanding international collaboration networks, leveraging journal clusters to enhance collective influence, advancing digital dissemination capabilities, and cultivating a professional editorial team are effective pathways for achieving high-quality development. The six-dimensional framework proposed in this study—together with its validation using the LAM case—provides both theoretical grounding and practical guidance for advancing the high-quality development of China’s independently established English-language scientific and Technological journals.
