| 审稿周期内的进度跟踪有利于编辑部提前发现审稿异常稿件并及时处理,对同行评议周期控制具有直接影响。文章通过问卷调查和个案数据揭示进度跟踪的现状及问题,420份编辑问卷调查显示：1)期刊在审稿周期内进度跟踪主要依赖系统审稿提醒,但大多期刊仅将其设置在临近审稿期限；在审稿周期内,超过一半的编辑几乎不进行人工跟踪。2)72.86%编辑虽然要求专家回复审稿邀请以期获得进度信息,但是有的期刊既无回复期限要求,也无便捷的回复操作,降低专家及时回复的概率。个案496条数据分析得到：审稿周期内有必要设置系统审稿提醒且需尽早介入人工跟踪,尤其是系统审稿提醒1次后仍未反馈的稿件。最后结合原因访谈结果,文章提出重视审稿周期内进度跟踪的作用,改进系统审稿提醒时间点和频率,增强人工跟踪精准性,推行“嵌入服务式”人工跟踪,细化审稿邀请内容,以确保尽早发现进度异常稿件,实现同行评议过程的有效跟踪与管理。 |

| Abstract This paper proposes reliable and detail optimization strategies for peer reivew progress tracking of academic jounals. 925 questionnaires and 496 case data are used to reveal the current status，problems and the effect of peer reivew progress tracking approaches for academic journals. Peer review progress tracking approaches include editors actively contacting experts and utilizing feedback of experts' invitation letters. According to implementation status of mentioned approches, it is found that most editors do not actively contact experts, and only send a reminder email when the peer review deadline is approaching, which makes it difficult to find the manuscript with abnormal peer review progress in time. Although experts are required to reply to the invitation for peer review, some editors only ask for a reply when experts refused to accept invitation, and there is neither a deadline nor a convenient operation mode, which reduces the possibility of experts' timely reply. There is much room for optimization in the implementation of peer reivew progress tracking approaches. Academic journals should pay more attention to the effect of these approaches in peer review cycle control, and constantly optimize the progress tracking strategy:①Optimize the time and frequence of peer review reminders; ②Focus on the reviewers who have not been fed back after the first reminder. ③Innovate the review reminder mode, and reduce time consumption of editors. ④Refine the peer review invitation content for timely respond of reviewers, so as to detect abnormal progress manuscripts in advance, to realize the effective tracking and management of peer review process, and optimize the control effect of peer review cycle of academic journals. |
