Abstract: Under the background of the corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) epidemic, the online academic conference held by medical and pharmaceutical journals can not only improve the brand influence and academic quality of journals, but also promote the dissemination of medical and pharmaceutical scientific research achievements, and timely, accurately and comprehensively transmit medical information and anti-epidemic experience to medical and health personnel. However, it also has its limitations: the participants lack the immersion and interaction, and it is difficult to balance the scale and duration of the conference. Affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, the academic conferences held by China Pharmaceuticals have changed from "offline" mode to "online" mode since 2020. By the end of December 2021, China Pharmaceuticals have held 42 online academic conferences, which have achieved excellent results and experience. Taking the two main problems that need to be solved in holding online academic conferences by medical and pharmaceutical journals as an example, this paper shares the practical experience of China Pharmaceuticals: By holding virtual round - table conference, opening the conference channel in advance or closing it later, adding interactive links, and establishing a WeChat group for the participants, the participants’ immersion and interactive communication have been improved; By formulating a reasonable conference agenda and splitting large - scale conferences, the length and scale of the conference have been balanced. The purpose of this paper is to provide a reference for other medical and pharmaceutical journals to solve those similar problems existing in holding online academic conferences. |
