| The handling period of manuscripts has been obviously shortened since a manuscript submission and editing system based on Internet was put into service in the Editorial Department of Journal of South China University of Technology. This paper mainly analyzes the practices of each step during the manuscript handling, and draws a conclusion that strengthening the contacts not only between editors and authors but also between editors and peer reviewers helps to shorten the handling period of manuscripts. |
