      通过问卷调查和大数据分析相结合的方式探讨了公式数量对地学期刊学术成果传播效率的影响。结果显示:科研工作者更偏爱阅读和引用没有或有少量公式的论文;公式数超过20个的论文对整个研究方向的权重影响力会迅速降低;刊载大量使用数学公式文章拉低期刊总引用频率,严重影响期刊的竞争力。应严格控制学术论文中公式数量以维护和提高传播效率和影响力。
英文摘要:
      Processing a large amount of formulas troubles academic journal editors much. Relationships between the amount of formulas and citation frequency are analyzed based on questionnaire survey and database of seismology letters. In fact, geophysical academic articles with more formulas are not as preferable as those with less ones. Scholars are inclined to cite articles with fewer or no formulas. The citation frequency declines sharply when the amount of formulas exceed 20. Large amounts of equations in the paper evidently impede communication among geophysicists and, to a certain extent, may slowdown the transmission efficiency and lower influence of sci-tech journals.
