| Editorial meetings are a fundamental task in the management of sci-tech journals. However, relevant research and reports are scarce, the effective practical experience of such meetings has yet to be widely disseminated, their value remains to be systematically recognized, and their efficacy remains to be fully realized—issues that have become particularly prominent amid the highly advanced development of digital-intelligent transformation. By drawing upon web-based information retrieval, literature review, questionnaire survey, and other research methods, this study analyzed the current development status, achievements, and deficiencies of editorial meetings in scientific journals. From the perspectives of paper quality improvement, talent cultivation, and information management, it examined their significant value for the high-quality development of scientific journals. A factor analysis of the underperformance of editorial meetings was made from the perspective of current deficiencies in meeting construction. Furthermore, based on theoretical and practical analyses, this study proposed five optimization strategies for editorial meetings in Chinese scientific journals: first, leveraging external resources and collaborative organization to enhance content quality; second, empowering through digital-intelligent technologies to optimize organizational forms; third, deeply integrating with talent team building to activate development momentum; fourth, adopting a long-term orientation to focus on sustained effectiveness; fifth, enabling mutual empowerment between practice and theory to achieve cyclical optimization. |
